EFFECTS, AREAS OF USE AND HOW TO USE
- It can be used for headaches and toothaches.
- It is effective as an expectorant, a diuretic, a fever reducer, an opener of nasal, throat and upper respiratory tract obstructions, a cough reliever, and an eliminator of respiratory tract inflammations such as sinusitis, pharyngitis and bronchitis.
- Massage is done with a carrier oil as a muscle relaxant, to relieve muscle spasms and contractions, sciatica and joint pain.
- It is used in the treatment of acne and pimples, skin infections, roughening and brightening of the skin, and in antiseptic creams.
- It is effective against head lice and insect bites. It is used by steaming or applying to the body to repel mosquitoes, ants and many other harmful insects.
- It is a natural physical fatigue reliever.
WARNINGS
- Before use, test whether it causes irritation by applying it to a small area of the skin.
- Use in mist form may cause an asthma attack.
- Ingestion may cause irritation.
- Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, eyes should be washed immediately with plenty of water.
- When used externally in high doses, it causes skin irritation.
- The essential oil should be diluted with a carrier oil before application.
- Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should not use it.
- Epilepsy patients, liver patients, cancer patients, and those with medical problems should not use it.
- It should not be used in children and the elderly.
- Those who use regular medication should not use this essential oil.
